This is Vinnie T. and he has a really neat story he wants to share with us, and a he’s a former timeshare owner and he want to share a few things with you to possibly help a few New Yorkers who possibly have a timeshare and this is Vinnie but hes really a hero he was actually involved in 9-11 he’s actually disabled because of 9-11 so we’re all glad to help Vinnie T. Thanks Vinnie.

Vinnie: Hi how are you. I’d say about 10 years ago I had got involved in a timeshare in Florida. I had young kids at the time, I thought it would be something good to have. Used it and it eventually became a burden around my neck. I had later went on vacation to Mexico to the Mayan Palace, you know. They again tried to sell me a timeshare. I had told them I already had one to try and get rid of seeing that it… Seeing that it was Mexico I thought it would be more of a benefit, I was a little bit older my children were a little grown.

I told them that if I could get rid of one that I would gladly take over the one at Mayan Palace. Little did I know they deeded the property back to me they slipped piece of paper I signed unknowingly. You get caught up in these situation and sometimes you sign, your just signing at such a rate that you’re unaware of what your doing. Recently I received a piece a paper from Apex and thought what do I have to loose. I started getting threatening letters against me about what would happen if I didn’t pay my maintenance fees. I came sat down with the people from Apex and today I am timeshare free. I’d like to thanks Dan and Kristin and Ian for there help for getting this anchor off my neck, and also the people at Apex. Thank you.

Sherly:   This is Jerry and Sherly from Knoxville, Tennessee. We aquired our timeshare in 2008.
At the time we had no idea of what we were getting into. They made it sound so wonderful
and it just turned into a nightmare. You cant get rid of them. You cant sell them. You
cant give them away. The one thing that goes passed the grave is these and if one or
other of us passed away we couldnt afford maintenance fees. They go up so high every year.

Yumi:   So why did you decide to do business with apex professionals?

Sherly:   Because they told us everything and was so truthful and honest and caring.

Jerry:    We learned from them things that no one had been telling us that was that straight forward.
Sherly:   They werent willing to tell us.

Jerry:    And Westgate properties in essense just lied to us. They misrepresented things that we were
told and the amount that our maintenance fees would be. In the very first thing the
maintenance fee was already up several dollars beyond what we were expecting to pay.

Sherly:   And dont make the mistake of trying to sell to some of these other companies using..

Yumi:   A listing company?

Sherly:   right, a listing because they will not sell them. They cant sell them.

Yumi:   Well thank you so much and we are so happy we had the opportunity to help you folks.

Jan Powers: “We owned.. past tense right… two time shares Westgate Gatlinburg, uh.. Vacation Village..”

Joe: “Parkway”

Jan: “at Parkway or something..”

Jan: “We had plans.. to travel this world!”

Joe: “And Investments. They told us they were good investments”

Jan (laughing): “No.. no they didn’t tell us that”

Joe: “They did”

Jan (still chuckling): “Ok.. whatever.. ok”

Apex Professionals: “Have your maintenance fees gone up at all since you purchased your property?”

Jan: “Oh yes.. double.. maybe triple”

Apex Professionals: “Have you ever spent any money to advertise your property and list it..”

Jan: “Oh gosh… Now you are getting into the part that kills me. I had people call ME. Rent your timeshare, we can get you bla bla bla bla for renting..”

Joe: “Sell your timeshare for you. We can sell it. We’ve got people waiting.. yeah.”

Apex Professionals: “Did you ever hear any phone calls from any of them?”

Jan: “Never!”
Joe: “Never.. nope”

Apex Professionals: “Never any phone calls at all..”

Joe: “We would have been better off just taking the money out and throwing it out in the yard. At least we may have found it if we looked for it again.”

Jan (laughing): “Yeah there ya go!”

Apex Professionals: “What is your experience today with Apex Professionals?”

Jan (Sigh of relief): “Got out of it! (our timeshare”
Joe: “Relief! We are glad to be out of it (our timeshare)”

TRANSCRIPT:

“Hi my name is Dania. I met here with Marvin at Apex Professionals. I came here because I wanted to get rid of my timeshare which was really giving me a headache. Last time I tried to use it at Westgate Resort, Miami Beach they told me that my unit had already been rented and that I couldn’t go stay at my unit. I had to argue with them as to why and it was a major headache to get my unit from there. They said that I had to do it in advance and let them know. I am the owner so I didn’t think I should have to let them know. Im glad to have Apex here and to be able to get rid of my timeshare because its been a real headache for me.”

I purchased my timeshare in good faith 10 years ago, but was surprised and disappointed when my maintenance fee doubled soon after, while the actual resort condition declined. After using the property a few times, I also realized it was even more costly to trade it for other resorts. I then tried to sell it and paid a substantial listing fee to do so. However, that did not work and I have since been hounded by other listing companies with up front fees with no guarantees.

Apex Professionals simply mailed me a card and let ME contact them and set up a meeting, at which time they agreed to take the timeshare and future financial responsibility off my hands. I didn’t make the financial profit I’d hoped for my timeshare but at least I stopped “bleeding” money in useless maintenance fees and got to use my losses as a tax right-off, while putting this headache behind me.

Our names are Ed & Lisa Umlauf residing in Georgia. We had 2 timeshares in Georgia and 1 in Mexico. For the most part we have enjoyed use of the timeshares up until the last few years. Our annual fees have more than doubled in each location and it has been difficult to find a decent place to exchange. It costs much less when we just book a place online when we want to get away.

It was a blessing when we received a flyer in the mail from Apex. At first we were skeptical about this because so many people advertise selling for you and want up front money, however nothing ever happens. Apex made it simple and clear, and they did all the paperwork. Of course we had to pay the closing close on each property, but what a relief it is to know that we no longer have to pay any type of fees.

I’m Joe Kandybe of Saddlebrook Farms in Grayslake, Illinois. I owned timeshares in Mexico and Kissimmee. The Mexico Property was the Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta and the Florida unit was at the Vacation Village.

Up until four years ago my wife and I enjoyed our timeshare in Mexico once or twice a year for over 20 years. Since she passed away I haven’t enjoyed the timeshare as we had before. When I decided to get rid of my properties I could not find a buyer. None of my children were interested in them. I couldn’t give them away. (not my children—the timeshares) Some company offered to “market” them for a fee. That cost me $600 with absolutely no results.

My daughter owned a timeshare in Missouri and I was surprised when she told me that she had gotten rid of it. I asked how and was told about Apex Professionals. I was impressed that the transfer of ownership was handled in one visit. I phoned Apex Professionals and was told they would contact me when they were going to be in my area, and they did.

For me, the most difficult part of my decision was paying someone to take over something that had cost me many thousands of dollars. I could have kept the property and rented it for much more than the maintenance fee but I just didn’t want the hassle. In addition, fees keep going up, airline schedules make traveling expensive and inconvenient. As my grandmother used to say, “There’s a time and a place for everything”. I would like to begin this letter first of all with saying how excited and blessed my family has been with our timeshare. We really enjoyed it at first and it accommodated our needs quite well. But since then we’ve had many changes in our lifestyle and haven’t been able to use it in the past several years.
