Barbara Hopkinson – Testimonial

barbara-ipI purchased my timeshare in good faith 10 years ago, but was surprised and disappointed when my maintenance fee doubled soon after, while the actual resort condition declined. After using the property a few times, I also realized it was even more costly to trade it for other resorts. I then tried to sell it and paid a substantial listing fee to do so. However, that did not work and I have since been hounded by other listing companies with up front fees with no guarantees.

Apex Professionals simply mailed me a card and let ME contact them and set up a meeting, at which time they agreed to take the timeshare and future financial responsibility off my hands. I didn’t make the financial profit I’d hoped for my timeshare but at least I stopped “bleeding” money in useless maintenance fees and got to use my losses as a tax right-off, while putting this headache behind me.

  1. WE bought at El Cid Mazatlan in ‘04 and updated to 308,000 Points on ‘07.To “help us with the purchase”, the salesman, Rui Veloso drew up an additional agreement in which he would personally rent out our points for Dec. of ‘07, and that we would be receiving a check for$10′000 no later than Jan 1 ‘08 from El Cid ;that this was guaranteed, When no monies were forthcoming by that time we contacted Mr. Veloso who apologized, saying that this was his oversight; that he would get busy and rent out the points for a return to us by Aug.08.WE did get a cheque for $1200 from him but to date there has been no further proceeds from the “rental”. On contacting Mr. Veloso, we were told to handle the rental, ourselves; that he worked for El Cid, not the rental company. We have had to take out a loan to pay for the 308,000 points and interest charges by El Cid collections has brought the payment for the timeshare to $12,333 US. We insist that El Cid business office be informed of this apparently bogus addendum to the contract#065599.
WE have corresponded with PROFECO who are refusing to mediate on our behalf, saying there is no company seal or executive signature on the agreement with Rui Veloso. I can provide copy(s) of this agreement to whoever can assist us in obtaining copensation from El Cid Resorts.
